How do I log into my account?

We are an company that provides comprehensive public record information based on only a phone number. We have been dedicated for years to systematically gather more databases, sources and data center links to provide our members with the highest possible level of investigation services.

What type of information will Verify Past find?

Almost anything, except for the very sensitive personal information such as financial and credit card data, including passwords and full account numbers. Other than that, with only a phone number, you can uncover vast amounts of data about almost anyone.

What countries does your website cover?

You will be able to look-up information about people in the United States - we have the most databases and data centers available for the US.

How do I register?

How do I login to my account?

To login to your account please follow these steps:

  2. Locate the "Members Login" box
  3. Enter your username (email address) and password

How can I retrieve my Username / Password?

Please follow the steps below to retrieve/create your account:

Go to www.verifypast.com and input your Username (email address) and your password in order to login.

If you forgot or lost your login information please choose one of the following options:

  1. You may, also choose to retrieve your login information by using your EMAIL ADDRESS by simply clicking on this link: Retrieve Password Once you are logged in to your account you may view your account details/summary in the top left corner of the website.

How do I change my password?

First you will need to login to our member's area:www.verifypast.com. Inside you will see a menu tab called "My Account". Under "My Profile" please click on the "change password" link.

3Uses of Data

What type of information is available about people?

Practically anything, except for very sensitive personal information, such as financial and credit card data, passwords, medical records, driving records, insurance records, employment history, social security records and other non-public information.

What can't I do with this data?

Our services may NOT be used in the following ways:

  1. To locate people in the interest of developing a news story.
  2. For purposes that might cause physical or emotional harm to the subject of the report.
  3. For individuals involved in an adoption.
  4. To gain information on well-known/high-profile celebrities or government officials.
  5. To determine a consumer's eligibility for (a) credit or insurance for personal, family, or household purposes; or (b) a government license or benefit.
  6. For purposes that are not within your stated normal course of business.
  7. For pre-employment or tenant screening.
  8. Due to various inaccuracies in public records, our services should not be used for skip tracing purposes.

Can your data be used for Employee Checks?

Verify Past is not a consumer reporting agency as defined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), and the information in our databases has not been collected in whole or in part for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports, as defined in the FCRA. You may not use the Websites or Data to: (a) establish an individual's legibility for personal credit or insurance; (b) assess risks associated with existing consumer credit obligations; or (c) evaluate an individual for employment, promotion, reassignment or retention (including employment of household workers such a nannies, housekeepers, or contractors) or in conjunction with assessing the merits of entering into any other personal business transaction with another individual ("Unauthorized Purposes").

Verify Past is a provider of information, gathered from publicly available data. Verify Past does not create, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of such data; rather, Verify Past receives its information from various sources, including Internet sites. It is not necessarily affiliated with or endorsed by these sources, or compensated by them. All materials and information available through Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available", and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the information is always accurate, complete or current; that access to it will be available all the time, from every place, or that errors will be corrected. Verify Past disclaims any responsibility and any warranties for sales, purchases, financing or other types of transactions involving products and services on which Our Services provide information. How current is your data?

Our service allows you to conduct searches of various public records. Any data presented as a result of these searches is derived from records that are not in the control of Verify Past and may not always be accurate or complete. Please see the Warranties section in our Terms and Conditions page for more information. As such, we can neither control nor guarantee the accuracy or availability of public records.

In which U.S. states can I search criminal records?

Some states do not permit access to certain types of criminal records, or restrict the types of information that may be retrieved by a criminal search. 5Physical Documents

Do you mail hard copies of my reports?

No, all search results are displayed electronically after which you can either print or download the reports. Your reports will also be saved in your "Search History" for 60 days.

Do we provide Birth Certificates?

Verify Past does not provide/send/issue Birth Certificates. Our Birth Records search may include the following information: Full Name, Birth City, Birth State and Full Date of Birth.

Do we provide Marriage Certificates?

Verify Past does not provide/send/issue Marriage Certificates. Our Marriage Records search may include the following information: Bride's Name and Age, Groom's Name and Age, Marriage Date, County & State of Filing and Filing Number.

Do we provide Death Certificates?

Verify Past does not provide/send/issue Death Certificates. Our Death Records search may include the following information: Full Name, Date of Birth, Date of Death and City and Sate of Death.

Do we provide Divorce Decrees?

Verify Past does not provide/send/issue Divorce Decrees. Our Divorce Records search results may include the following information: Respondent's Name, Petitioner's Name, Date of Filing, State of Filing and Filing Number.

How do I use your service?

If you are having difficulties in using our service please follow the simple instructions below:

STEP 1: Go to www.verifypast.com and enter your username and password in the top right hand corner of the website.

STEP 2: Once you are logged in please take some time to familiarize yourself with the member's area. Our searches are located in the left hand corner of the website.

STEP 3: Select the search you would like to start with.

STEP 4: Fill in the required information. Please do not write more than two words in each search box. When you are finished, click the "Search" button.

STEP 5: View the results by clicking the access links or following the instructions on the page. Your search results should appear within a few short seconds after search completion.

If your search yields no results please go back and try removing some information. For example by removing the "city" field you can broaden your search.

3Criminal Records

How do I interpret the criminal search results?

Our Criminal Check report may yield an individual's criminal records or indicate a lack of relevant results for the specified search criteria. In order to use this service, customers pay a small search fee.

While our Criminal Check report can yield useful information, please use extreme caution in interpreting the results of any criminal background search. A positive match does not guarantee the nature or even existence of an individual's criminal record. Verify Past is not responsible for explaining or analyzing Criminal Check results. How will my charge appear on my credit card?

Your Statement Will Show a Charge from Safecart/InfoPay

Will I receive a purchase confirmation email?

Yes. You will receive two emails, one from Verify Past which will contain your login information and your purchase details.

What is my receipt number?

Each time you submit your payment you will receive an email containing your receipt/order number. You can retrieve your receipt/order number by simply referring back to the email from us, or by going to the "My Account" page in the member's area. The receipt/order number will be displayed in the "My Orders" section..

3Billing

Is your service subscription based?

Yes, Verify Past is a subscription based service. If you purchased our 3, 4 or 14 day trial membership you will gain unlimited access to Verify Past's member's area. If you decide to cancel within the 3, 4 or 14 day trial period you will only be charged the initial subscription fee. If you wish to cancel your trial please make sure you send us an email (support@verifypast.com) at least 24 hours before the last trial day. Otherwise you will be charged a fixed monthly fee until you cancel. You will be charged every month for your Verify Past membership. This is regardless of whether or not you access the service and regardless of the content and accuracy of the reports (including empty reports, often referred to as "No Hit" results). You may choose to cancel your Verify Past membership at any time after which your membership will become inactive and you will not be allowed to login to the member's area.

What is the difference between the Basic Membership and the Advanced Membership?

The Basic Membership websites provides you access to over 20 different searches (over 1 billion records). Although, you have unlimited access to these searches you may not have full access to view the search results. For this you will need to subscribe to the Advanced version of Verify Past, our service which lets you view full results for all our searches. Within the Basic member's area you can upgrade to the Advanced Verify Past. You will have a 3, 4 or a 14 day trial for the initial subscription fee. If you wish to cancel your trial please make sure you use our automated cancellation service (http://www.verifypast.com/customer/help) at least 24 hours before the last trial day. Otherwise you will be charged a fixed monthly fee until you cancel. You will be charged every month for your Verify Past membership.

How do I cancel my trial or my monthly recurring subscription?

If you wish to cancel your trial or your monthly subscription membership please send us an email: support@verifypast.com. For the trials please make sure that you send us an email at least 24 hours before the last trial day.

2Privacy

What type of information do you collect?

Personal Information

We collect personal information from you when you: (1) register on the site; (2) subscribe to one of our mailing lists; (3) contact us; and (4) order products and services. The information we collect includes your name, address, email address, and telephone number. We also store your searches for 60 days, after which time we delete them. If you make a purchase, our service provider, ClickBank, will collect your payment information. ClickBank does not share that information with us.

Non-Personal Information

As part of the standard operation of the Site, we may collect certain non-personal information from you, including but not limited to your browser type, operating system, IP address and the domain name from which you accessed the Site. In addition, we may collect information about your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visit the Site, the areas or pages of the Site that you visit, the amount of time you spend viewing the Site, the number of times you return to the Site, your search history and other click-stream data.

Do you notify anyone every time I conduct a search?

All your searches are confidential. No one is notified that you are searching for them.

Why does the data obtained from the Preliminary Search vary from the data obtained in the member's area?

The preliminary search accesses people databases simply to verify that the person exists in the United States. This information is provided as reference material only. Search results obtained from the Preliminary Search may not match the search results obtained in the member's area based on the same search parameters.

Why can't I find any information?

If you are having trouble finding someone, be sure you check all possible searches. Use the People Search, Phone Number Search, Birth Records Search, or any of the other searches available to you. Remember, we have over 1 billion records, keep searching!
